Editor side panels and tools

Beyond the segment grid, the editor's panels put context and quality tooling next to the text.

Research panel​

The Research panel holds the project's AI-generated research and applies it to the segment you're on:

  • Project Research — industry context and conventions, target audience, translation approach, project-specific terms, jargon, companies/products, style examples, and cultural notes, generated from the project's content and client details (regenerate any time).
  • Current Segment Analysis — research terms found in the active segment, with definitions, examples, and suggestions; flagged translation challenges and recommendations.
  • Identified terms can be added to the termbase with one click — or discarded — so research feeds your terminology instead of sitting in a document nobody reads.

Segment-level deep research digs into a single tricky segment on demand.

TM/TB matches​

For the active segment, translation memory matches and termbase terms are shown alongside the editing area — including cross-language matches from other target languages if enabled. Lookups return in milliseconds, so matches keep pace with your arrow keys.

AI Review panel​

After an LQA run, the AI Review panel shows the model's quality assessment of the active segment: issues found (or a clean bill of health) with concrete suggestions you can apply.

Quality metrics​

Per-segment quality metrics combine distance analysis (how far the edit moved from the AI output) and semantic quality scoring (COMET) — recalculable on demand.

Comments & history​

One panel combines the segment's comment thread and its revision history — the conversation and the change trail in one place, with restore available for any previous version.

Document preview & screenshots​

The preview pane renders the document (where the file type supports it) so you can see segments in their final layout, with zoom controls. Segments can also carry screenshots for visual context — UI strings with the actual screen they appear on.

Auto-fix​

Auto-fix analyses the file's QA issues, groups them by severity (critical / warnings), and lets you select which to fix automatically in bulk — punctuation, whitespace, tag repairs — instead of stepping through them one by one.

Pronunciation glossary (video projects)​

On dubbing work, open the Pronunciation Glossary from the dubbing panel's toolbar. It maintains how names and brand terms should be spoken — the term, a phonetic spelling (e.g. Xiaomi → "Shao-mee"), category, and notes — so generated voice-over pronounces them consistently.
