Project Manager guide
As a PM you own the pipeline: getting files in, getting quality translations out, and keeping clients' linguistic assets (TM and termbase) in shape. This guide covers:
- Projects and files — the project creation wizard, file processing, analysis, the recycle bin.
- Workflow stages — Translation → Revision → Proofreading, automation levels, assignments.
- Large files — analysis, JSON key filtering, and splitting for oversized files.
- Running translation — the pre-translate dialog, providers, document mode, Privacy Mode, monitoring progress.
- Translation memory and termbase — project TM/TB, shared libraries, TMX/TBX import/export.
- Quality assurance — automated QA scoring, XLIFF QA checks, and LQA review.
- Connectors — pulling content from and pushing it back to TMS/CMS systems.
- Video translation & dubbing — transcription, subtitle translation, AI dubbing, the video editor.

A typical project lifecycle
- Create the project with source/target languages; attach the client's TM and termbase libraries.
- Upload files (or pull them in via a connector).
- Run translation — TM pre-fills exact matches, the AI handles the rest with TB/TM hints.
- Run QA scoring and review flagged segments.
- Hand the editor session to linguists for review and approval.
- Export translated files in their original format and deliver (or push back via the connector).
- Export the updated TM/TB so the client's assets grow with every project.
